SUMMER!!!

Finally it's summer: no school, no learning, no being cooped up in a classroom! I'm so excited! This summer I'm planning on going to the beach, practicing volleyball, and hanging out with my friends and fam. This summer is a big one for me because I'm going to a different school next year. I'm switching schools so that I can be with my mom ( a teacher ) and my little sister. Since my mom works there I got to meet some really nice kids that will be in my class next year. I'm a little nervous, but I know that it will be a great fifth grade year! A goal I have this summer is to get more comfortable in my new church so that when I go in to fifth grade I can do some of the leadership programs through the church! It is really important to me to be involved in church because I can do more things and feel more comfortable while I'm learning about Christ. One last thing that I'm looking forward to this summer is going to Missouri! My aunt and uncle bought a vacation house up there and are having a family reunion type thing! We are going on a boat, riding horses, and lots of other cool stuff! My aunt and uncle live in Kansas with a bunch of horses and a beautiful house. I've never been there before but it sounds really cool from what I've heard! Pink Hair, Don't Care     This post is about some fun ( non permanent ) summer hair! The other day I had a hair dying party!  I want to give a shout out to my great hair dresser who did my awesome hair - Dana Arcos! I got to choose between 3 different colors - purple, pink, and blue. Since I love pink and it would work best with my hair color, I chose pink. First, my hair was separated in to different sections. Next, my hair was brushed piece by piece with the pink color, and wrapped in tin foil. Then, I waited about thirty minutes for my color to set. Last, we rinsed out my hair and blow dried it. For a little extra touch, Dana curled my hair to give it some extra wow factor!  After that my hair was pink and had a real summery vibe! A Trip of Bravery The past 10 days I have been on an exciting family vacation! I was visiting my Dad's side of the family at my Aunt Carol and Uncle Kevin's vacation home at Lake Table Rock in Branson, Missouri. We did a ton of things, and many of them required a lot of bravery and an open mind. Cliff Jumping This was probably one of the scariest things I have ever done! We were out boating and we passed a cliff that a bunch of kids were jumping off of.  Aunt Carol asked me if I wanted to jump off. At first I totally didn't want to , but then I watched some other kids jumping off and I decided that it wasn't that bad. My dad and my sister came with me on the jet ski and I jumped off and swam to the side and climbed on. I decided to do one of the lower platforms since I was a bit nervous.  Before I jumped off I was definitely scared, but I saw the other kids doing it so I knew nothing was going to happen. Darianna In the Dominican Republic          This Christmas we decided to sponsor a child in need and we decided to sponsor Darianna! Darianna is an eight year old girl that lives in the Dominican Republic.  Our job is to send out money every month and write her letters teaching her more about God. She wants to be a doctor when she grows up and can't wait to learn how to read! We might even get to go to the Dominican Republic and meet her some day.           This is very important to me because we get to share God's word and give to people in need. I hope Darianna can grow in her relationship with God and pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. I can't wait to receive her next letter and learn more about her.
